THE RACING DEPARTMENT DEVELOPS TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS FOR EACH MODEL, FROM THE JUNIOR TO THE INFANT KF1 CLASSES

Novelties
At the front two different torsion-bars can be adopted: the one further back gives more grip to the rear, whereas the second one improves the grip at the front. Among the novelties are also the small spindle's 'Cs', the camber and caster, which guarantee a better grip at the front without jeopardising the smoothness. It is no however longer possible to change the pitch of the flange on the rear bearing; in-depth tests have shown the 1040 being the ideal pitch. Always at the rear, the bearing's housings can be fastened vertically in various positions: the lower they are fastened, the higher will be the 'grip'. The new flange also houses the 'hybrid' 50mm-diameter bearing: this means that the external diameter is smaller in order to improve smoothness and reduce weight.

Design
One of the main characteristics of Birel karts is their design. As far as this is concerned, users are increasingly more demanding and the market awards those products which can differentiate themselves in terms of personality and image, as well as technology. Many accessories are anodized in blue and great attention has been paid to even the smallest details. A practical example of this philosophy is the excellent workmanship of the braking systems.

The R line is particularly effective with soft tyres and dry track conditions, but has also achieved a remarkable success in the Junior class, thanks to the fact that it keeps the chassis 'free', thus exploiting the engine's power at its best. Two other proposals from the M line are the models MX 32 -SV and M 31 –SV. In comparison with the R line, the rails' diameters are the same but the characteristics of design and the performance are radically different. Whereas the R range is characterised by straight rails in the tank area, the M range has a curved design. The M series' technical characteristics generally guarantee more 'grip' and efficiently adapt to medium-hard compound tyres and slippery tracks. In terms of set-up, all chassis have top range Freeline Hq accessories, magnesium rims and Motorsport Pvc sticker kits. For all the 4 models the novelties for 2007 particularly concern the structure and some of the main aspects of the bodywork. Several solutions were tested and for each model optimal balance compromises between front and rear were achieved. Among the developments which have been introduced the most important concerns the new 'Cs' of the small spindle: they have new camber and caster, thus guaranteeing better grip at the front without jeopardising the smoothness. Always at the front, two different torsion-bars can be adopted, whereas at the rear the bearings have new flanges which allow for significant adjustments to be carried out. In comparison with 2006, only the 1040 pitch has been adopted, as it proved to be the best in terms of balance. For all the range the recently approved front brakes will be available as an optional.
