History : The original Bira Kart Track was build in conjunction with the car track over 20 years ago by Chanat Ruangkritya (father of Chanond Ruangkritya) and company. Over the years, the kart track has held many, major kart championship races in Thailand. Naturally, the condition of the track surface deteriorated without proper renovation. With the opportunity to recondition the track, it was seen as a chance to upgrade not only the track surface but also other critical factors such as the track lay out, facilities and amenities.

Mission : Different approaches and options were explored, and the basic conclusion was
simple: the track needs to be International recognized to hold International Races. Thus,
homologation of CIK - FIA was a must. Thus, the track was designed to comply with
CIK - FIA License B homologation. Potentially, the new track can hold major International
races such as CIK - FIA Asian-Pacific Championship, a targeted future event.

The commercial aspects of the track were also a key element in determining the
size of the investment. To make the business economically viable, Chanond recognized
the importance of the human comfort factors as well. The introduction of VIP Paddocks
will provide storages / garages, apartment-like rooms and other amenities to attract
new teams and sponsors, and they will provide additional income to ensure commercial
viability. Other features such as restaurants, function room and shower will also add to
the comfort factor that will facilitate long-term interaction among motor sport enthusiasts.
